Can you repair a deck instead of rebuilding it?
Usually, yes. Loose boards, wobbly railings, popped fasteners, and surface wear can normally be repaired. At your free estimate we inspect the framing, ledger, and footings and give you an honest repair-versus-rebuild recommendation based on the overall condition of the deck.
Do you fix rotted or soft deck boards?
Yes. We replace rotted, cracked, or soft boards and match them to your existing deck as closely as possible, then refasten and refinish the repaired area so it blends in.
Can you make a wobbly deck or railing safe again?
Yes. Bouncy decks and loose railings are usually a fastener, post, or framing connection issue. We reinforce joists, re-anchor posts, and rebuild railings so the deck feels solid and meets safe, sturdy standards.
Do you stain and reseal existing decks?
Yes. We clean, sand where needed, and re-stain or reseal weathered wood and composite-trimmed decks to protect them and restore their color.
Is deck repair work covered by a warranty?
Yes. The labor and any new lumber or hardware we install on a repair are covered by our 3-year workmanship warranty, the same coverage we offer on new deck builds. If a repaired section settles, a replaced board loosens, or a connection we made comes apart within that window, we'll come back and fix it at no charge. The warranty covers our repair work, not unrelated damage that happens later from storms or normal wear on the parts of the deck we didn't touch. We're licensed and insured on every job and explain exactly what's covered before we start.

Every new fence and deck installation from Elite Fencing and Decks includes a 3-year workmanship warranty — longer than many local one-year warranties. We build for Kansas soil and wind the first time, so callbacks stay rare. If something tied to how we built the project goes wrong in that window, we come back and make it right.
What’s covered
Posts, panels, gates, framing, and structural work against issues caused by how the project was built. Same coverage applies to repair labor and new materials we install — on the repaired scope only.
What’s not covered
Normal weathering, everyday wear, abuse, or storm damage that happens after the job. Sections we didn’t touch on a repair stay outside the warranty. We’ll be clear about that up front.
Materials vs. workmanship
Manufacturer warranties on products like composite are separate and often longer. We walk through both at your free on-site estimate so you know what’s backed by us and what’s backed by the maker.
